I have been dying to get my hands on some Sunpat peanut butter but they dont seem to have it here in Rome. I have been told you can buy it in the giant supermarkets and theres a possible place in central Rome which sells international foods so hopefully i will be able to get some.![]()
Its funny the foods you can and can't get here, they have Bugerking and Macdonalds, but no KFC or Pizza huts. There was even a Subway until it closed down and we havent seen another one. I used to eat alot of chicken in London and i think in the last 5 months i have had chicken 4 times.
I still have cravings for foods i can only seem to get in England like hinez tomato soup, stage chili, fish & chips,coldslaw....things like that. Been trying to get my parents to send me some things in the post but they dont seem to want to. The things i want are in plastic containers so theres no fear of them breaking, if i keep asking im sure eventually they will send them. Or the next time i visit them im going to stock up and bring a load of things back with me!![]()
I really want to make a sheppherds pie to see what Alex makes of it as he's never had it before and i think he will like it. I will be stocking up on a few things for sure when we go back to the giant supermarket so i have them spare in the cupboard and freezer ![]()
We found somewhere to buy a toast as well on the weekend so in the near future hopefully we will be getting one and i will be able to make toast, toasted sandwiches etc. Hmmmmmm beans on TOAST!!!
Oh for a jacket potato with beans and coldslaw!!! Im going to have to make my own! they dont have coldslaw here if i mix mayo, carrots, onion, cabbage togeather than that should be it!
Hi, I will be in Rome alone July 18 and 19 before I leave to Florence to attend a language school. I was just wondering if you have any information on dinners with other expats. I'd hate to eat alone but probably will have to.
