At last were on holiday!! We had been planning to go to the house in the Alps for 3 weeks but have decided to just have a week/10 days there and try and go for a week in Tuscany as well and the last week just stay here in Roma.
Its still hot here and my pot plants have finally decided to flower although i have to water them everyday as they wilt in this weather. Next year im just buying them from the flower man already flowering and green as its taken months for them to get this far!!
We had the blind for the balcony in the bedroom fixed today as the old wooden one was broken so we have a brand new plastic brown one it was interesting to watch them man working on it and it was done within 30mins!
My italian course has finally finished and i have signed up for the one in October which is for a bit more advanced Italian. Everyone is saying im speaking more Italian and i feel more confident speaking it and understanding it now when i go out, its not scary anymore. Its weird how you can suddenly understand it and begin to speak it quicker without thinking about it.
Im staying in touch with a group of other girls from the course and we have exchanged emails, mbl numbers and were all going to meet up for lunch and stay in contact which is really nice!
I suddenly realised yesterday i dont feel homesick anymore i rarely get the bouts of homesickness as well, i have finally settled down here. Yes i miss some of the food but Roma really feels like home now. I know when i visit my parents i will really miss italy and Alex very much.
