  • Bit homesick.....

Spoke to my parents on the webcam on saturday got to speak to my other sister and my niece who i havent seen in 6 months. Sky was really shy on the webcam because we hadn't spoken or seen eachother for so long. I got really upset about this as before we were quite close and i really miss them all. Got engulfed in home sickness again, i hate being so far away from them :( I miss them all so much. But in another 3 weeks we will be seeing them :)

Alex is worried about the swine flu which had caused alot of deaths in Mexico and America. I really hope it doesnt come to europe its really scary. Hopefully they will find a cure before it spreads to much.

Been feeling really tired, over emotional and grumpy lately and i dont know why....i have been snappy with Alex and not ment to be because of it.

Really enjoying babysitting still we have been making lots of things and playing with a ball to remember words etc. The little one now knows the days of the week, seasons and months and she hates learning english but shes been really good lately. The older one has started a blog on this same site where she write english stories. I told her not to except people as friends on it unless she knows them like me or school friends as i was worried about weirdo's trying to talk to her so she agreed.

  • Paris on the cards!

Ciro is fine apparently it was a wound under the skin like he had caught himself in a door or something. Im not suprised as he bounces of everything and everywhere! The vet gave us some drops to put in his food that will help. Ciro went mental in the vets when they got him out of the box he became a ball of fur and claws when they were checking him poor baby. He clawed the vets arm a little bit and he was happy to get home.

My friend Jess suprised me on saturday she wants to go to Paris in the fall and her hubby is going to pay for our visit as he doesnt want her to go alone! So we are both really excited about it! we are already looking on the internet for places to visit there and things to do! Its going to be a big adventure and loads of fun, really looking forwards to it!

The weather is still up and down here in Roma one minute its warm the next raining and a bit cold. I wish it would make its mind up!

Me and Alex are suffering from some kind of tummy bug the last couple of days with really upset tummys which isn't good.

Managed to get my sister's some tops i found of one of the little market stalls i found. There starting to bring out all there summer shoes and clothes which are really nice.

More and more tourists i see when i go out i guess as the weather gets better we will be flooded with them especially in central Rome.

  • Ciro back to the Vet again!!

Ciro has a bald spot hes been chewing on near his bum and when i told Alex he wasnt happy about it he went a bit crazy. He thinks it could be ringworm again but the vet has said its unlikely. We are taking him to the vet on saturday to see what he thinks but it could be a reaction to something in the house. All he has been doing is moaning about Ciro ever since we got him, about how naughty he is and him not being well. Im starting to wonder if hes going to be like this if we ever have children!

Alex has said now to me he doesnt know if he would have the patience for children and he thinks he might be to old and these are some of his fears. I really want kids so i guess its a good thing we arent getting married at the moment and everything is on hold. I think he would be a good father at heart he just needs to learn patience.

Ciro is still young and as he gets older he will settle down but it takes time hes like a naughty 2 yrs old at the moment.

I bought some more summer tops which look nice for 1 euro each and tomorrow i might go out at lunchtime and take some more pics/videos like i did on tuesday with Jess as that was fun and im enjoying the walking around.

Alex took me to Ostia last friday which was lovely suprise i didnt know where we were going until we got there! Ostia is the beach of Roma even though its an hour by car to get there (Ostia lido di roma). It was such a lovely sunny day we had lunch there and walked on the beach for a bit. I collected some shells and took some pics and enjoyed the sun. It was a wonderful day.

My old flatmate/best friend said he and his girlfriend could come to Cambridge for the day and we could all meet up if we went there. Hopefully they can make it as it would be really good to see them as i haven't seen them in a year!

My Brother didnt get into Uni and was really upset about it but hes been told if he does the summer course he can automatically get into Uni. So my Uncle is going to help him pay for it so he can get in. He also got a B on his GCSE retake couse which is good! :D

We are going to see them in 4 and half weeks im getting really excited about it i can't wait to see them :) it will be loads of fun.

  • Over Easter!

Jess and D came down to Rome to stay with his parents over the Easter break and we went over there to see them and have Easter lunch on the sunday. His family are really nice and loud and friendly and there is always loads to eat. They really like Alex and he likes them to alot. We had salad, lazanga and lots of meat and wine etc.

Jess showed me the baby Chins they are sooooooooo cute! so tiny and furry and lovely and hopefully shes keeping two of them so only one of them needs a home.

She gave me some material paint so i can make some stencil stuff on t-shirts etc now which will be loads of fun which she is going to do to.

We were invited back on the monday as well to theres for a barbecue and both days were really nice and the sun was out shining and we had such a nice time. It was really good to spend time with Jess again.

Today we went out and wandered about Rome for 4 hours pretending to be tourists which was fun we took lots of pics and chatted. I managed to find a nice bag for my Mum as she wanted a 'made in italy' handbag for when we visit in May. I bought a zesper keyring and some more sunglasses.

Jess then went back to Verona with D at 4pm i was sad to see them go :( it was nice to have her here to do things and have fun.

Im going to the dentist tomorrow as i have a sensitive tooth which im not looking forwards to as the dentist scared me alot :(

The wedding stuff is now on hold as Alex has lots of fears about it all which hopefully he will sort out and face. I think its better for him to get over all of that before hand as he has a lot if issues that need addressing. So for now we aren't getting married or booking anything or doing anymore paper work for it. The documents i got run out in september which is the 6 months so if we do decide to get married we would probably have to renew them as i dont think it will be this year anyway.

  • Matter of trust

We had some more aftershocks since the earthquake some big ones but not as big as the actual quake one we first had. Its all still a bit scary and im hoping it will stop now.

My friend Jess her chinchilla finally had its babies and she posted pics on facebook! they are so damn cute!! Theres 3 of them one big one and two smaller ones she thinks might be twins. She might be bringing them down for Easter with the mother as there still hopefully coming to Rome and dont want to leave them alone :)

Still doing my exercises and lost a little bit more weight which is good although part of me still wants to join a gym to shift some more. I bought a few more tops for 1 euro each the last couple of weeks which are really nice. And i bought some leggin short things 3 of them which will be nice for the summer.

One of my familys cats had to be put down as her kidneys failed i wasnt happy about this as i only found out about it from facebook a comment my brother posted :(

Alex finally mananged to book us an appointment at the Commune after waiting 4 weeks! So tomorrow we go to do the document there and then get a date for our wedding next week. Hes still full of fears and i told him we dont have to get married and it was his idea in the first place. He has a fear i will go back to England and want to take half the share of the flat with me. I told him even if we get married the flat is still his and if we split up i dont want anything from him. I told him this repeatedly but he still has fears so i told him we could do a prenuptual. He said yes he wants to do that so we are going to so that at the wedding.

I told him i was a little hurt that he didnt seem to trust me when i said i didnt want anything. He said no its was just is fears but still to me it means a lack of trust.

Well me will see what happens September is still far away and we both have time to change our minds if we are not happy or comfortable in anyway about it.

  • Earthquake!

So this morning at 3.30am we were hit with an earthquake! I woke up to the bed and room shaking violently and it was pretty scary. I shouted Alex's name and we just lay there hugging until it was over which was only a few minutes. There was a mini tremor after and another tiny one an hour later. It was a 6.2 on the rictor scale apparently but the centre was a town 55miles outside rome called Aquaila and they were badly damaged so far there 50 dead and they are still going through the rubble.

I got an email from my Uncle asking if i was ok and messages from facebook as well from people and my brother was waiting for me on msn to see if all was ok.

Ciro was a bit shaken up and scared as well hes a bit jumpy today.

They say there might be aftershocks which im not looking forwards to :( I just hope everyone we know here is ok.
